The cognitive exam is split into five content areas: Content Area They are unmarked, so you will not know which questions are scored and which are unscored. ![]() The 35 unscored questions are used to evaluate questions for future versions of the exam. The cognitive exam contains 135 multiple-choice questions, 35 of which are unscored, and you will be given a time limit of 2 hours and 15 minutes. The AEMT exam is itself comprised of a cognitive exam and a psychomotor exam, both of which must be passed in order to pass the AEMT exam.
